On June 11, the county of San Bernardino in California honored the legendary female group with a street named after them in the city if Rialto. The three membered female group hailed from Rialto when they met and began hanging out with N.W.A   They managed to convice group member Arabian Prince to record “Supersonic”. The song would become a classic hit that became a part of pop culture used in movies like Sonic the Hedgehog and Tiktok dance challenges. The group also continues to tour on the strength of that song, which unknown to a lot of people became the first gold record for Eazy-E’s Ruthless Records.

Legendary hip-hop music journalist Billy Johnson Jr. began his journey in 1987 as a young writer who started his historic career interviewing the group and now 35 years later has come full circle in covering their street naming ceremony for WCS. Yes, Billy Johnson is now WCS as we continue to grow. Watch this new special which includes words from N.W.A members Arabian Prince (Original member) and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member DJ Yella spoke on the group. Watch this special below.
