Multi-platinum, Emmy Award-winning producer/composer Bud’da, who revitalized the sound of west coast gangsta rap in the mid-’90s by producing the majority of Westside Connection’s double-platinum selling masterpiece Bow Down, is writing and producing music for the recently-released documentary Roll Call for The Brick TV.
Roll Call is a traveling documentary series, hosted by Venice Beach, California roller skate legend Terrell Ferguson, exploring the unique and distinctive skate culture of a new city.
Season 1 begins in Terrell’s backyard at the legendary Venice Beach Roller Skate plaza, and ends halfway across the world at the Skate Love Barcelona. This journey shines a light on the incredible style and variety of roller skate culture.
Bud’da has produced music and written songs featured in the 50 Cent crime drama Black Mafia Family, and was nominated for two Emmy Awards and won one for his production work on the short film Unspeakable, a :60 second PSA that features the voices of the Deaf community.
According to the description on The Brick TV’s website, it is a streaming service that features culturally responsive content from the voices of those communities. The streaming platform is a place to be in community, to enjoy the brilliant creations of those that created the culture, and to experience a wide array of emotions while viewing productions rooted in love and excellence.
