Bay Area rapper Cousin Fik just released a new single, “Thangin” featuring E-40 and Too $hort, now streaming via Sick Wid It Records and Virgin Music.
Produced by Bijan, the track is a high-energy salute to confidence and body positivity. The beat is playful, the lyrics clever, and the delivery pure Bay flavor.
• Cousin Fik sets it off with lines like: “You got a dump truck, I’ma need a CDL.”
• E-40 follows up: “Might have to use an umbrella that thing raining…”
• Too $hort caps it off with: “When that thang thang, them two cheeks get together like gang gang.”
The chemistry between the three feels effortless. It’s a certified club banger that brings heat and humor.
The official video matches the track’s energy. Each artist is showcased in bold, monochromatic setups that reflect their unique style. E-40 pulls up with his Earl Stevens Mangoscato, while Cousin Fik and Too $hort drop verses surrounded by confident women who bring the “Thangin” vibe to life.
This isn’t Fik’s first time linking with 40 Water. The two have collaborated on tracks like “Bay Area 51”, “Cold Game”, and Fik also made an appearance in the “Choices (Yup)” video back in 2015.
Meanwhile, Too $hort is making big moves in film. He’s stepping into the role of producer and narrator in the new movie “Freaky Tales”, which hits theaters today, April 4. The film—set in 1987 Oakland—is inspired by his classic track and features an all-star cast including Pedro Pascal, Ben Mendelsohn, Jay Ellis, Normani, Dominique Thorne, Jack Champion, Ji-young Yoo, and Angus Cloud.
