Strange Music founder/artist Tech N9ne dropped his latest album with Asin9ne. The 17-track album is chock-full with features from Lil Wayne, Shao Dow, Mumu Fresh, Snow The Product, Russ, E-40, X-Raided, Navé Monjo, and more.
The most surprising and eyebrow-raising feature on the album is wrestler-turned-actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson appearing on the single, “Face Off” which also features Joey Cool and King Iso, along with Tech N9ne.
The Rock spits a surprisingly nice verse on the song. According to an interview with Variety, Johnson said of putting the song together, “When Tech texted me, I knew I would make this work. We’re aligned, just in terms of our work ethic and desire. When Tech and I first met years ago on the set of ‘Ballers,’ we were talking about this idea about being the hardest worker in the room. He said something that I really appreciated: basically, ‘There could never be enough food in this room or on this set that could make me full because I always want to be hungry.’ I just love that.”
