The impending release of the Anderson .Paak and Bruno Mars collaborative Silk Sonic album, An Evening With Silk Sonic, is days away from release. The duo has released a trio of singles over the last several months” “Leave The Door Open”, “Skate”, and their latest song “Smokin Out The Window”.
As the album release date nears, there’s still not much known about the project aside from it featuring Bootsy Collins as “special guest host,” and the album being released as a joint effort between Dr. Dre’s label Aftermath Entertainment and Atlantic Records.
However, it appears that .Paak and Mars have registered at least 4 new song titles with ASCAP (The American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers), an organization that protects artists’ musical copyrights. It’s unclear when the pair actually registered the songs.
The song titles registered include “777,” “After Last Night,” “Blast Off,” “Fly As Me,” and the just-released “Smokin Out The Window”.
There is no official word if any of the aforementioned songs will appear on An Evening With Silk Sonic.
Silk Sonic’s debut album, An Evening With Silk Sonic, will be coming out on November 12.
