Hip-Hop legend and friend of the site, Ice-T, took to Twitter yesterday to announce that his Grammy-winning metal band, Body Count, will be starting their new album, Merciless, next month.
The LP, which will be their eighth, is the follow-up to 2020’s Carnivore, which included the hit “Bum-Rush” that received the Best Metal Performance Grammy at the Grammy’s 63rd award ceremony back in March.
The tweet is exciting news, seeing as how an announcement in June on one of Body Count’s social media accounts indicated they decided to do a new project.
With the pandemic still playing a critical part in the plans and futures of everyone, it is inspiring to see the group make sure this still comes to fruition.
Just like Ice’s Hip-Hop records, many of Body Count’s songs provide a much-needed social commentary, and so it will be exciting to hear what they have to say next!
Yep. We’re starting the first stages of the new @BodyCountBand LP in Dec. ‘MERCILESS’ 🤘🏽 https://t.co/nzanf39Wnz
