The upcoming album by Kxng Crooked and Joell Ortiz “The Rise and Fall of Slaughterhouse” is now up for pre-sale.  Kxng Crooked took to Twitter on March 9 to announce that hard copies of the album are available and shared a link for streaming for a March 11 streaming release with Tidal, Spotify,  Apple, Deezee and the official store on Myboombox where clothing merchandise can also be purchased.

The album details the rise and fall of the 4 man supergroup of Joe Budden, Royce da  5’9”, Kxng Crooked and Joell Ortiz that was signed to Eminem’s Shady Records label. The group of lyrical geniuses took the rap world in 2009 by storm with the release of their independent album Slaughterhouse and later in 2012 with Welcome to: Our House on Shady/Interscope. The group was special not only for their supreme lyrical skills but also because they represented different regions in the United States of America. In 2013, the group started in their third album GlassHouse but after years of delay it never saw the light of day and the group disbanded in 2018.

Members Kxng Crooked and Joell Ortiz have now banded together to tell their story with the release of Rise an d Fall of Slaughterhiuse with their first single “Backstage” released on March 4. The news of this project created such an internet buzz that Joe Budden and Royce took to Instagram Live to respond to their former group members in disapproval. So far,Joe and Royce have not taken their criticism to the studio and have kept to social media as Joe abides by his retirement claim and continues with his popular podcast. Only time will tell where things will go from here once the Rise and Fall of Slaughterhouse album is released.
