There is no question about JT The Bigga Figga’s impact on Hip Hop. Specifically in California and Atlanta. His notoriety is derived from his work as an independent record label owner, artist, producer, filmmaker, and writer. Over the course of his career in music alone, he has over 30 albums to his credit, with 15 of those being solo albums. JT would move on to be an executive producer as well, being credited with giving Compton rapper, The Game his early break. independently releasing his 2 first albums. Also known as Figg Panamera, the bay area mogul also launched TrapFlix an independent movie streaming service that hosts films mostly made by JT himself.

Most recently, JT has found himself on a spiritual mission. and in 2017 he would touchdown in Burkina, Faso a landlocked country in West Africa bordered by Mali, Niger, Benin, and Ghana. The country suffers from widespread drought, most villages do not have running water, and restrooms are shared publicly. JT returned to the country in 2019 and began building schools, and homes, installing bathroom facilities and giving back to families and the youth.

“Fillmore Africa” shows JT’s travels and efforts during his latest visit. The documentary displays his commitment to give back and assist with building up Africa with important infrastructure. While on his mission in the country, JT adopted, or was adopted by a local family, met with village chiefs, and dignitary officials. “Filmore Africa” is a spiritual display of how God can use one man to change the lives of many.
