Four kings of the west coast are uniting! Too Short, making an appearance on the Serch Says podcast with 3rd Bass legend MC Serch, announced the he, Ice Cube, E-40, and Snoop Dogg have formed a supergroup.
Planning for a 2021 release, the as-yet-unnamed supergroup was formed during the 2020 Covid-19 quarantine during a simple conversation that the bay area icon had with E-40 and Ice Cube.
According to Kyle Eustice of HipHopDX, as the interview on the Serch Says podcast was drawing to a close, Too Short explained how the idea of the supergroup came up, “So I get a call during the early part of the quarantine from E-40 and Ice Cube going, ‘Man, we feel like we should do an album. Like me, you … it’s E-40, Cube, Too $hort and Snoop Dogg. And I’m like — E-40 and Too $hort from the Bay, Snoop Dogg and Cube are from L.A. and we like the West Coast foundation. We sat there and was like, ‘Fuck it, let’s do it.’ So, we start coming up with beats.”
Stay tuned as more information on this west coast supergroup develops!
