The Big Boss Dogg Snoop Dogg has officially taken on a new role at Def Jam Records, that of Executive Creative And Strategic Consultant to the iconic music label.
As part of his new role with Def Jam, the Doggfather will be focusing on “A&R and creative development,” while working directly with Def Jam executives and artists, and reporting to Universal Music Group Chairman & CEO Sir Lucian Grainge and Def Jam’s interim Chairman and CEO Jeffrey Harleston.
Def Jam Recordings was originally founded by Rick Rubin in 1983, and would go on to release an iconic and legendary catalog consisting of albums by Run-DMC, The Beastie Boys, LL Cool J, Warren G, DMX, Public Enemy, EPMD, Onyx, Pusha T, Q-Tip, Justin Beiber, Jadakiss, 3rd Bass, Slick Rick and numerous other artists over the labels existence.
