Hip-Hop legend Shock G passed away last April of 2021 but before that happened, his manager Atron Gregory recorded him playing the piano and got an album’s worth of material. Although he was known more for rapping and producing skills, Shock G was an accomplished musician and the piano was one of his favorite instruments, so much that he was dubbed “The Piano Man” amongst his many monikers. The album is set for a 2022 release however the first offering from the project was released in early December 2021, his take on Lauryn Hill’s song “To Zion”. Take a listen.
