The day after performing alongside Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, 50 Cent, and Mary J. Blige during the Pepsi Halftime Show of Super Bowl LVI, producer-mogul Dr. Dre spoke to TMZ about some of the “minor” changes the NFL made to the historic set.
However, one of the biggest tidbits to come out of that interview was Dr. Dre announcing that he was working on Mary J. Blige’s upcoming new album. The two went to Dre’s house after the Super Bowl performance and hit the studio.
“Mary came back here to the house last night and we went downstairs to the studio,” he said. “She was playing me samples and we were just vibing out because we’re talking about working together on her next project. I’m not even sure if I’m supposed to be saying this or not, so I’m sorry, Mary. But I’m excited about it.”
