On August 12 Snoop Dogg joins Jamie Foxx and Dave Franco in the upcoming Netflix film Day Shift. The first trailer was released on Monday (July 11) showing Foxx’s character Bud Jablonski, a blue-collar family man who works as a pool cleaner in the San Fernando Valley. As the trailer unfolds, we see that the chlorine and cleaning supplies at the pool are only a front for his real source of income, which is hunting and killing vampires as part of an international Union of vampire hunters.
The film trailer’s opening is soundtracked by Snoop Dogg’s 1993 Death Row Records single “Murder Was The Case” off his solo debut Doggystyle. Snoop, who plays a fearless vampire hunter as well in the J.J. Perry-directed film, explains in the clip that vampire hunting is a “business” where “cutting necks and cashing checks” is the name of the game.
