80 Empire recently dropped “Paintings” featuring Nejma Nefertiti. The track is off the new 7-song album INTERMISSION – Tales from the Boom Bap Act 1 via Gladiator Records.
The visual for “Paintings” is a colorful canvas with explosive performances by the production duo of Adrian Rezza and Lucas Rezza, Nejma Nefertiti, and also featuring the incredible paintings of visual artist Pisano Artista, the iconic Bushwick Collective street gallery art, and Crown Heights, Brooklyn speakeasy Drink Lounge. With the filmmaking talents of director Fatty Soprano, 80 Empire and Nejma Nefertiti created a masterpiece.
Nejma Nefertiti is a Brooklyn-based hip-hop artist and is an Art Equals Politics, social justice educator, utilizing hip-hop and technology as cultural weapons to empower, uplift, inspire, and unite, both youth and elders, the oppressed, and for the freedom of all political prisoners.
Adrian Rezza and Lucas Rezza, a/ka/ 80 Empire, continue to release incredible bodies of work as evidenced by their Anthems & Icons album, a 17-track project featuring guest appearances from artists including DMC, Papa J, WC, Kurupt, KRS-One, Kxng Crooked, Grafh, and Jomi, along with their “Business” single they dropped last month, and producing “Legalize It” for WWE wrestler Montel Vontavious Porter a/k/a MVP and Smoke DZA.
