Diamond D of D.I.T.C. is celebrating the 30th anniversary of his debut album with the release of his latest offering, The Rear View, on Friday, August 19 via his Dymond Mine Records imprint.
The Bronx, New York native MC/producer/DJ recently sat down with Jake Paine of Ambrosia For Heads‘ podcast What’s The Headline to discuss a multitude of topics including the new album The Rear View, spending the day with Dr. Dre, working with Outkast, and connecting with Westside Gunn.
When talking about meeting up with Dr. Dre, through the introduction of Xzibit, Diamond D said, “For two hours, he played a bunch of music—new Marsha Ambrosious album, he played a couple of solo joints—all heat. I kid you not, all heat.”
