Hailing from East Palo Alto, California, the multifaceted producer/artist ProHoeZakhas been a driving force in the music industry for decades, and his influence shows no signs of waning. As ProHoeZak puts the finishing touches on his highly anticipated solo album, Artificial Ignorance, the hip-hop community eagerly awaits what promises to be a landmark release.

The forthcoming Artificial Ignorance album, which will be released on all digital platforms alongside a physical release, represents a culmination of ProHoeZak’s extensive experience and artistic vision.

In recent years, ProHoeZak has solidified his reputation as a go-to producer for some of hip-hop’s biggest names. His production credits read like a who’s who of West Coast rap, including several tracks for Snoop Dogg such as “Say It Witcha Booty,” “Roaches In My Ashtray,” and “Get My Money,” and the Mount Westmoresupergroup on tracks like “I Got Pull” and “Mt. Westmore, Pt. 1.” He’s also been behind the boards for collaborations between Suga Free & Kurupt (“Don’t Ask Me“), as well as multiple tracks for Too Short, including “Ain’t Gone Do It” and “Big Sexy Thing” featuring Lil’ Duval.

ProHoeZak’s impact on the hip-hop landscape extends far beyond his recent work. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with some of the most influential figures in music history. His well-documented work on “So Many Tears” with 2Pac, whose poignant lyrics and powerful delivery continue to influence artists today, helped shape the sound of West Coast rap in the 1990s.

The list of ProHoeZak’s collaborators reads like a hall of fame of hip-hop and R&B. From West Coast icons like Snoop Dogg, E-40, and Too $hort to East Coast legends like Flavor Flav and Public Enemy, ProHoeZak has bridged regional divides within the genre. His ability to work across stylistic boundaries is further evidenced by his collaborations with rock group Sugar Ray and R&B pioneer Teddy Riley.

These partnerships not only highlight ProHoeZak’s versatility but also underscore the respect he commands within the industry. Each collaboration has allowed him to absorb different styles and techniques, continually evolving his sound while maintaining his distinctive East Palo Alto roots.
