Today, West Coast emcee Kalan.FrFr unveils a brand-new remix for “Everybody,” a highlight track from his critically-acclaimed EP, MAKE THE WEST GREAT AGAIN.
The powerhouse remix finds Kalan.FrFr showcasing his prowess as a collaborator as he joins forces with an all-star lineup that includes 310babii, OHGEESY, BlueBucksClan, John Mackk, G Perico, RJMrLA, Rucci, Heembeezy, CUZZOS, Wallie the Sensei, and CheffBoy. A regional stand-out, the new rendition of the song brings a fresh perspective to the lauded original – LISTEN HERE.
The hard-hitting remix of “Everybody” comes after Kalan dropped his aforementioned summer EP, MAKE THE WEST GREAT AGAIN. The 8-track project features appearances from YG, Ty Dolla $ign, G Herbo, and Spooky Jay, which contributed to a banner year for the South Central-bred rapper.
Outside of music, Kalan’s impact has extended beyond the recording studio. The rising star made headlines earlier this year after his sold-out performance at The Hollywood Palladium and the reintroduction of his annual giveback initiative, TwoFr Day.
On top of this, back in June, Kalan performed on the 2024 BET Awards Pre-Show stage during “Culture’s Biggest Night.” This was preceded by his stellar performance at Kendrick Lamar’s Juneteenth ‘Pop Out’ concert, where he was joined onstage by G Perico to perform their collab “Right Wit It.” Now, he’s squarely positioned to ignite the resurgence of West Coast dominance in hip-hop.

ABOUT KALAN.FRFR
If you want to get a sense of how deeply respected Kalan is among his peers, just look at the shortlist of his collaborators, a who’s who of modern West Coast hip-hop and R&B: Ohgeesy, Blxst, G Perico, Mozzy, Dom Kennedy, BlueBucks Clan, 1TakeJay, and Westside Boogie. As Pitchfork once said: “when you’re talking about L.A.’s new wave of shit-talking, designer- obsessed rappers, Kalan.FrFr should be included….” On the Los Angeles asphalt, he’s a mythological figure who has somehow avoided corny myth-making. We can list his hits starting from when “Right Wit It” became a mandatory drop at every house party from San Diego to Seattle or mention the “Hot N’ Ready Freestyle,” where Kalan proved that he could spit as hard as any rapper in your Top 5. We can talk about his scene-stealing performance on Destiny Rogers’ “West Like,” where Kalan comes off like a young Roger Troutman. We can cite his melodic reveries on the Puma Mixtape. But when the new album drops, the overarching vision will become crystal clear. The story of how he got here isn’t as important as where he’s going.
