HONORING THEIR SEMINAL SELF-TITLED DEBUT
GROUP WILL PERFORM THE ALBUM IN ITS ENTIRETY ACROSS 16 NORTH AMERICAN DATES
LP3 IN THE WORKS
Deltron 3030—the visionary hip-hop collective made up of lyricist Del the Funky Homosapien (a.k.a. Deltron Zero), producer Dan the Automator (The Cantankerous Captain Aptos), and turntablist Kid Koala (Skiznod the Boy Wonder)—have announced a North American tour celebrating the 25th anniversary of their seminal self-titled debut where they will perform the album in its entirety. Kicking off July 18th in Vancouver, the 16-date run will hit San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto, DC, and more, before wrapping October 6th at New York City’s Webster Hall. Presale starts on Wednesday, April 23rd at 10AM local time. Tickets for the tour will go on sale this Friday, April 25th at 10AM local time. Sign up for presale access and get tickets here.
Formed in 1999, the trio debuted at the turn of the millennium with the groundbreaking concept album set in the year 3030. The record fused dense lyrical storytelling, cinematic production, and turntable wizardry to create one of the most iconic and influential hip-hop projects of all time. Deltron 3030 (2000) became an instant cult classic, praised for its dystopian themes, imaginative world-building, and sharp social commentary. Del’s cerebral verses, Dan’s lush, symphonic beats, and Koala’s experimental scratching combined into a sound unlike anything else in hip-hop at the time. Individually, each member brought a pedigree of innovation to the table. Del first gained recognition through his cousin Ice Cube, later forming the Hieroglyphics crew and collaborating with Gorillaz on breakout hits like “Clint Eastwood.” Dan the Automator earned acclaim for producing Dr. Octagon with Kool Keith and went on to produce Gorillaz’s debut album. Kid Koala, signed to Ninja Tune, became internationally known for pushing the boundaries of turntablism and live performance.
Though their discography is lean, Deltron 3030’s impact is lasting. They continue to hold a passionate global fanbase and remain a benchmark for innovation in hip-hop. With a third album in development and recent performances alongside Wu-Tang Clan and Run the Jewels, Deltron 3030’s saga is far from over—still offering a timeless soundtrack for anyone questioning the future.
