Jay Luckk and Wiggle Nation are looking to stamp their city. Hemet is a suburb 30 min south of Moreno Valley. As part of the Inland Empire, it is emerging as a place ripe with talent. Jay Luckk’s new project “Don’t Call It Luckk” is one of those tapes that play straight through, with no skips, a rare find in the time of streaming where EPs and singles are dominant. Jay Luckk’s “Don’t Call It Luckk” is packed with a hot 17 songs. Stand-out tracks are “I’m From Hemet” feat. frequent collaborator Spank Nitty James, who also is from Hemet. “Respectfully” feat. Young Note, “Closer To My Dreams“, “Wake Yo Game Up” feat. Mitchy Slick, and “F**k It Look Like” feat. LaDuce. The project was produced by Jay Luiz @prodjayluiz which provided a soundscape of open space and hard-hitting drums for the flows and cadences that poke out through the speakers. The rap game will have to dial into what is happening out in the Inland Empire and its emerging cities this project proves that.
