Layzie Bone, of the iconic, multi-platinum rap group Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, was recently a featured guest on the Get Boys Reloaded podcast, where he spoke to host and Get Boys legend Willie D about meeting Ruthless Records and N.W.A founder Eazy-E, and recounts the timeline of how Bone Thugs-N-Harmony signed to Eazy and Ruthless Records..
During this segment, Layzie Bone breaks down how he and Bizzy Bone were able to get backstage after a concert in Cleveland, Ohio, and rap for DJ Yella and Eazy-E, and soon after the group got the call to come out to California where they soon signed to the iconic west coast label and put out their classic debut single, “Thuggish Ruggush Bone”.
Elsewhere in the interview, Layzie Bone tells how he got the name Layzie Bone (even though his name at first was Bizzy Bone) and putting together the songs “Thug Luv” with 2Pac and “Notorious Thugs” with The Notorious B.I.G.
