San Diego legend and West Coast veteran Jayo Felony is in a better place these days. When I first linked up with him in 2004, Jayo was in the midst of a beef with Daz Dillinger and not too long afterwards, Mitchy Slick from his own city. Now the Daz beef was industry but the beef with Mitchy was industry AND gang related – not good. But through the course of the years, Jayo has grown and these days he is more aligned with preserving Black life instead of taking it. That doesn’t mean he has gotten soft on the mic as h is still a savage, as his real name James Savage suggests. With a new outlook on life and a career boost from Xzibit, Jayo Felony is ready to rock the world again.
