Ice Cube has been taking Warner Brothers to task over the last few weeks for not making more Friday movies, and has started a #FreeFriday campaign to bring more attention to the issue.

For some reason, WB is refusing to make another Friday sequel to the popular movie franchise. So, Ice Cube took to calling the company out on social media.

One of the posts said, “#freefriday from the jaws of Warner Bros. who refuses to make more sequels. They have hi-jacked the happiness of the culture.”

Although WB owns the rights to the Friday franchise, they don’t seem too excited about releasing another film, despite the eagerness of Friday fans.

The movie was originally released in 1995 starring Chris Tucker in a breakout role, with the Next Friday sequel done in 2000 with Mike Epps, followed by the last film Friday After Next being released in 2002.

In 2019, Ice Cube confirmed he finished the script for the fourth and final installment called Last Friday, but Ice Cube won’t be able to release it until WB gives the green light.
