This past weekend, ahead of the VERZUZ showdown between the Isley Brothers & Earth, Wind, & Fire, the iconic Soul legend Ron Isley hit the studio with Dr. DreFredwreck, and Marsha Ambrosius.

Mr. Biggs took to Instagram to share the photos of him being in the studio with the Aftermath Entertainment founder and former Floetry singer Marsha Ambrosius. While it’s unclear if the collaboration is for a Ron Isley project or if he’s going to be featured on a Dr. Dre selection for the West Coast pioneer’s upcoming project, but it’s good to see these music icons working together.

In 1994, for the Murder Was The Case Soundtrack, Dr. Dre produced the Jewell-sung “Harvest For The World”, a cover of the Isley Brothers’ title track from their 1976 album Harvest for the World.

Songs from the The Isley Brothers vast catalog have been sampled over 140 times for various songs including Ice Cube‘s “It Was A Good Day”, Notorious B.I.G.‘s “Big Poppa”, “Tha Crossroads” by Bone Thugs-N-Harmony2Pac‘s “My Block”, Naughty By Nature‘s “Hip Hop Hooray” and countless others.

Fredwreck posted the photo below on Instagram, with the caption: “Wow I can’t believe I got to work with one of my heroes today! Mr Big @ronaldisley 🎵 #isleybrothers
