The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inducted its 2021 class in October 30 which included names like Jay Z, Carole King, Tina Turner, The Go-Go’s, Dionne Warwick, Devo, The Foo Fighters, Mary J. Blige, Rage Against the Machine, Todd Rundgren,Chaka Khan and more receive their due recognition for their years of music excellence. LL Cool J was amongst this year’s inductees having created hits over a four decade period ranging from fiery lyrical flowing powerhouses to smooth love jams. Giving LL’s induction speech was none other than Dr. Dre. Although the two musical icons don’t have much a recording history together, over the years they have grown close and have even hit the studio together. “What LL actually stands for? Ladies Love? Licking lips? I’m here because I personally think it stands for Living Legend”, said Dre in his speech. After receiving his honor, LL performed a medley of hits and even brought up Eminem and Jennifer Lopez to join him in stage. The ceremony will air on HBO and HBO Max on November 20.
