Actor Tyrin Turner, who played the critically acclaimed part of Caine in the iconic movie Menace To Society, has joined with entertainment industry executive Stan Sheppard to make his directorial debut in the TV series Young Bulls.
Written by Stan Sheppard and Marlena Jeter, the new series chronicles the return of a Chicago gangster who has been freed from prison after serving 25 years for gang and drug activities. The OG is now determined to re-assert his control in the area where he grew up, but the current street structure was not feeling his arrival, and the confrontations begin to unravel.
Upon reading the script, Tyrin Turner and Stan Sheppard had a lengthy, detailed discussion about the project and its direction. Tyrin stated his passion to be involved in the project and committed to Stan Sheppard that he would make this TV series a major hit if he had the right to do the production through his eyes.
Stan immediately agreed and plans for the casting of different characters in the series were launched last week. The series will be filmed in Chicago.
Young Bulls, which was presented to an extremely small group of artists and artist managers and garnering an incredible response, is bringing the West Coast pioneering artist/actor MC Eiht of Compton’s Most wanted to the production, as well as Glasses Malone, Yukmouth, Kokane, and Mob James who will all play important roles in the series.
Multi-platinum producer DJ Battlecat will be the musical director of the series and he will be joined by the award-winning and Grammy-nominated Adult Contemporary/Jazz music icon Gerald Albright to provide music throughout the series.
Stan Sheppard is currently in discussions with private entertainment investors and various cable network executives/broadcast partners to market and promote the series worldwide in 2022-2023.
