As part of CMG’s live YouTube stream here, the company announced the signing of Sacramento rapper, Mozzy. The news shook up the industry, as everyone wondered what would be Mozzy’s next move as his profile continues to grow. There were rumors that he would sign with Dr. Dre after a picture of them in the studio surfaced. There were rumors that he would sign with TDE, after a shot out from Grammy winner Kendrick Lamar and being featured on a few records for the Black Panther soundtrack. To add to the speculation his “Sleep Walking” single would be added to the movie as well, a huge win for an independent artist.
To say the least, CMG is one of the hottest Indie labels working right now. Yo Gotti, has amassed a talented and active roster of rappers that are creative and consistent. Ill-regardless of the turmoil surrounding the label and its signees. CMG has seen success from all its artist.
