Over 30 years ago, Ice Cube released the classic “How To Survive In South Central” off of the Boyz N The Hood soundtrack. The Sir Jinx produced track had Cube rapping about survival tips in Los Angeles over a beat built around the late Roger Troutman’s “So Ruff, So Tuff”.

Rising San Francisco rapper Yung Lott felt that it was about time the Bay Area and San Diego had their say in the survival matter so he went out and got E-40, Black C of the RBL Posse, and San Diego’s Mitchy Slick for this new West Coast anthem. The Mekanix provide a Troutman inspired beat and West Coast Stone gets down on the vocal box. Tap in below!
