The legendary DJ Pooh, an undeniable pillar in hip-hop, recently shared a story about how he met west coast icon Eazy-E.

Responding to a Twitter user who asked DJ Pooh to share a quick story about Mix Master Spadeon the late west coast hip-hop pioneer, Pooh replied with an amusing little story on their first encounter with the N.W.A and Ruthless Records founder.

“Man! One day me and Spade was at MaddHouse record store on El Segundo in Gardena dropping off our new single for sale and ran into another dude selling our records out his Suzuki Sidekick and that’s how I met Eazy. He was slanging our shit behind our backs. Lol. Macola days.”

Coming up as a DJ for the legendary West Coast DJ crew of Uncle Jamm’s Army, Pooh’s historical production on LL Cool J’s 1987 release Bigger & Deffer, cemented him as a true musical pioneer.

DJ Pooh would go on to produce classic songs for LL Cool J, King Tee, Snoop Dogg, 2Pac, Ice Cube, Tha Dogg Pound and others.
